Get Busy! Is not an award-winning multi-disciplinary design studio.
It’s just me (Chris) hunched over at a desk somewhere, squinting at a laptop screen because I keep forgetting to book an eye test.
I am primarily a graphic designer but I also do all kinds of other things – I’ve been painting on walls for over 20 years, I make linocut prints, I take photos, publish zines, sell small run t-shirts, paint portraits, entertain myself with marketing campaigns for products that may not exist. I do a bit of everything.
In the past few years I have self-published my first book (All City Queens), given talks on mental health, creativity, and typography. Hosted workshops teaching hand lettering and street art. Worked as a photographer at This Morning Live, The Ideal Home Show and Grand Designs Live, and art directed photo shoots for visual artists I admire. I’m currently working on a personal project which collates all these fields I’m interested in into a zine which I publish every three months – replacing my mild Instagram addiction with a nice periodical print item instead (issue 1 is in the shop, I’ll post you one for free if you like).
I hope you enjoy poking around the site, if you need a copy of any of my portfolios for my art or design work, they can be downloaded HERE. Alternatively, drop me a message below if you want to get in touch, always happy to talk.
All the best,
C.
